About the project
"Suprasl – the Polish window on Switzerland" The project is co-financed by Switzerland under The Swiss Program of Cooperation with The New Member States of The European Union.
Total cost of the project - 884 700.00 PLN
The amount of funding (Swiss grant) - 615 098.00 PLN
Suprasl Municipality contribution - 269 602.00 PLN
The project is based on long-term cooperation between Suprasl (Poland) and Balsthal (Switzerland) municipalities. It aims at strengthening partnership through the launch of new joint activities and exchange of experiences in the field of cultural, social and natural science, the construction of long-term relationships through the exchange of social groups and organization of initiatives, such as participation in trade fairs and conferences.
Through the project activities such as: organizing concept tours for leaders and regionalists, organization of the Festival, production of a video film about Balsthal and Suprasl as well as the publication of “In Suprasl and Balstahl pot”, organizing international conference, the project fulfils the objectives of the Partnership Fund. Project assumptions
1. Organization of four study tours - strengthening the cooperation:
- 2 trips of the 15 Polish representatives to Switzerland, verification based on attendance,
- 2 trips of the 15 Swiss representatives to Poland, verification based on attendance,
- creating a document planning trends in tourism development in the Municipality of Suprasl
2. Organization of two three-day Festivals "Canton of Suprasl" with the following points:
- organization of Film Nights - Polish and Swiss films - 2 editions (with the total number of 8 films), assumed to be attended by about 50 people per edition, denominated by the number of free tickets issued (“passes”).
- organization of two culinary contests "In Suprasl and Balsthal pot" and 2 editions of folk concerts of the Polish and Swiss bands; assumed to be attended by the total number of 17 000 people per edition.
Verification of the number of participants will be based on the number of the free tickets issued (“passes”). Read more ...

The group of addresses will be the representatives of local and governmental authorities, environment and culture authorities, non-governmental organizations interested in the issues, social leaders and activists, regionalists, naturalists, scientists, culture experts. "Poland - Switzerland, Switzerland - Poland" International Conference
The subsequent "Poland - Switzerland, Switzerland – Poland" International Conference, which is going to take place in 2014 will embrace topics including historical and contemporary events in historical, cultural and social relations. Participants from the both countries will have the ability to look at cultural and social differences between the two partners, results of the existing cooperation and plan joint actions

Organization of four study tours: two tours of the representative of Suprasl Municipality to Balsthal, and two tours of the representatives of Balsthal Municipality to Suprasl will enable the initialisation of joint activities and exchange of experiences in the range of culture, natural environment and tourism. Extremely valuable from the Municipality of Suprasl point of view are experiences of the Swiss partners
